See exotic reptiles on a 200ft boardwalk in the center of the swamp system. Jamwest is one of Jamaica’s wildlife reserves and home to over 90 species of birds. Come, journey along our 300 acre property, our rugged trails will definitely romance you. Explore the depths of the mangrove forest, engage in our rich history and be reminded of the importance of environmental preservation. End your time with us, exhaling in seclusion, as you dip into a cool mineral bath. Soak in the luscious beauty of nature and get ready to say “ahhh.”

What to expect

Your Jeep safari adventure begins with pickup at select Negril hotels. Upon arrival you will be greeted at the clubhouse which hosts a restaurant, gift shop and bar. After signing your waiver, get seated in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Traveling through the trail with highly trained team of tour guides, botanists and zoologists will educate you about the various plants and animals and give you loads of historical information and animal shows. You’ll make stops along the trail and explore the unique habitats of three natural flora and fauna environments: the wetlands, rainforest and grassland. Wonder through the wetlands and see fascinating biodiversity first hand. From the boardwalks, see native crocodiles, iguanas, tortoises, snakes and plenty more animals. Visit the natural lakes and spring ponds and watch wading birds in their natural habitats.
