Day 7 - MYKONOS, GREECE - KNOWN AS THE “IBIZA OF GREECE” October 15, 2021

As soon as the sun goes down, it’s time to let loose. Known as “the Ibiza of Greece”, Mykonos has a serious party scene that’s not for the faint of heart.

Mykonos looks like a scene from a postcard: whiter-than-white houses with brilliant blue shutters, vibrant bougainvillea, and a beautiful blue harbor drenched in warm sunlight. But beneath the idyllic scenery, Mykonos is vibrant and cosmopolitan, with a penchant for all-night parties and hedonistic good times.

Elia Beach

Soak up the very best of Mykonos sun, sand and surf with a day of tropical relaxation on Elia Beach. Set on the southern coast of the island this white-sand oasis is widely considered among the best beaches in the world. Church of Panagia Paraportiani

The Church of Panagia Paraportiani is situated in the neighbourhood of Kastro, in the town of Chora, on the Greek island of Mykonos. Its name literally means "Our Lady of the Side Gate" in Greek, as its entrance was found in the side gate of the entrance to the Kastro area. 

ANCIENT DELOS

Delos is a Greek island in the Cyclades archipelago which was both an influential political force and, with its sanctuary to the god Apollo, an important religious centre in the Archaic and Classical periods. The island was also a major commercial and trading centre in the 2nd and 1st centuries 

Mykonos Windmills

One of the most popular islands in the Aegean, Mykonos has a fun-loving, cosmopolitan atmosphere and is well-established as a gay-friendly destination. You’ll want to spend as much time as possible in the fashionable and arty Chora (Mykonos Town) getting share-worthy shots of the famous windmills and pure white houses. Even the cracks between the marble paving stones are painted white here.

Afterwards you can investigate the enchanting ruins of Delos and head off to all corners of Mykonos in a matter of minutes, hunting down the best beaches and vantage points
